James McKenzie is the Project Manager of Screen Education Edinburgh, a film production company and educational charity that teaches the art of film and film making to young people and new talent. Prior to this he was the C/O.O. at Filmhouse where he established a number of film seasons and festivals, including the Greek Film Festival. 

Dr Robin Barbour, MAm PhD (both St Andrews), Oxford Diploma in Classical Archeology (distinction). Assistant Director of the British School at Athens (1972-1976); Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Head of Classical Archeology at Edinburgh University (1977-1998). Founder (1973) of British School at Athens summer programme for undergraduates - The Archeology and Topography of Ancient Greece. Author of The Cyclades in the Bronze Age and many articles on Greek Prehistoric and Classical archeology, also on Giorgio de Chirico and his connections with Greece. editor / Author of three Blue Guide series volumes - Greece, Athens, Rhodes and the Dodecanese; also of (privately published) Guide to Rural Attica. lectures on may topics connected with the above; also on British Scholars' reactions to Greece, modern Greek Painting, Modern Greek Architecture etc. Organiser of A Greek Day in Edinburgh (2014) on behalf of The Friends of the British School at Athens and The Scottish-Hellenic Societies of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews.

Dr Eleni Raftopoulou, graduate of University College London and University of Oxford, formerly policy officer of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport with responsibility for four nationally funded museums and galleries; grants officer (assessing and monitoring grants of up to £5 million) at the Heritage Lottery Fund and now Assistant Director at the Scottish Funding Council. Interests include widening access to tertiary education. Publications: Choosing to Learn, Learning to Choose (on educational choices and healthcare education in Scotland).

Kevin Anderson, graduate of the Brussels Conservatione, founder and director of the Edinburgh Early Music Centre, Associate Director of the London Irish Arts Festival. Films: Is Mise and Teanga; Nineveth on the Clyde; Sean Connerys Edinburgh; The Demarco Dimension. Theatre: The Musical Beasts; The Wolf and Peter; Men, An Irish Musical. Concert Pieces: Mothers; Fathers; Notes.

Dr Vangelis Makriyannakis, film scholar and theatre director, was highly instrumental in some of the founding years of the Festival, providing essential information on current and older films, lecturing on Nikos Nikolaides and conducting interviews, Q&A's and masterclasses. His guidance on the films of Angelopoulos was of particular importance.
